Scholastic Aptitude Test to get admission in Undergrad Schools in United States. It checks for the potential of applicants for advanced studies, with this test measuring Verbal, Mathematical and writing Skills.

SAT is the Reasoning Test which measures your Verbal, Mathematical and writing skills. The examination is paper-based, with a maximum score of 2400.
This Examination is one of the major factors that are considered while admitting a student in Undergraduate school in US.
There are three Sections – Critical Reading, Maths and Writing.

Writing section score is split up in two parts. The essay is scored on a scale of 1-12, and the multiple choice questions on a scale of 20-80. These scores are combines to calculate a section score ranging of 200-800
The entire SAT score ranges from 600-2400
You can give the SAT Exam any number of times but it is highly advisable not to do it as it may affect your candidature. Prepare well and give it few times only.
